“I cannot recommend Clare highly enough for teaching all the things you need or want to know about the sport of scentwork.
Not only has she put in the work to become highly qualified in this sport and is, I believe, the most qualified in New Zealand and beyond, but she is passionate about it as well. And it really shows in her teaching.
Some people can know a subject but not impart their knowledge. Clare can do both.
She puts out wonderful content which is both instructional and fun to try out. Then she has a way of being able to look at the nuances of a search from the videos shown to her and responds with detailed video feedback. She is able to suggest, with empathy, where a search could perhaps be improved, as well as give high fives for giving it a go. She is very encouraging whether it’s gone well or not and you feel inspired to carry on.
She brings humour to the table in all her content, as well as her video feedback, and shows us how we can have fun with the sport and not take ourselves (and our team mate) so seriously.
